Before I start, just some recent updates. Today I went to SMU again for some OCS briefing. I think is quite cock but good effort. Had a so-called amazing race and got the third position. Then, Adecco called me again, about this job at Changi Airport, at $8 per hour. I told the consultant about my commitment and amazingly, the company do not mind. So in about 6 more hours, I will have to work again.
Seriously, in my own opinion, working is definitely better than rotting at home. It is like at least you are earning money, and at the same time refrain you from spending money. So economically, it is effective. This time round, my company is a business consultancy. I am require to use excel (again) and therefore sort of looking forward to learning new things.
In addition, today I met Kenny, the first time I see him after the final interview for the LKCSP. He got the same situation as me, after the LKCSP, he receive nothing. Then he told me the JCs pple that went through the final interview got the Study Award which is worth $5000. So where does the problem lies? Is it because we are poly students? I really dunnoe, and do not dare to speculate.
Anyway, after today I sort of realize how come I am NOT looking forward the FTB camp this coming Friday. I guess the main reason is that for this FTB camp, it is compulsory for everyone to attend. Therefore, unlike the BONDUE camp, sports camp, etc, there will be much more pple that are not enthusiastic and just wanna get through the three days over quickly. So, ultimately, it still boils down to your team members, whether are they enthu anot.
Ok get back to the camp.....
Day 2
In this day, we are still at Changi Village chalet. We are suppose to "fall in" at 8.15 outside the chalet. So we wake up about 7+ to do the necessary washing up. Anyway, our facilitator, Eugene, went back to bed again, and about 8 o clock, grp 1 facilitator came and wake him up, and ask him to lead us out of the chalet. As usual, when we are out, we wait till about 9 am before the bus came. So Eugene is quite dulan with it. While waiting, we start to play ice-breaker game again. The usual 007, 1234. Clara lost the first time round, and have to do forfeit. Eugene ask her to go to the center of the place where all the groups gather, and start practicing Taekwondo. This is damn funny. Then I lost the second time, my forfeit is to go to the center and start scolding an imaginary recruit. Basically I use whatever my sergeant scolded us to scold tt "recruit".
Next, we get back to SMU and again wait for the briefing for amazing race. We are suppose to play a game dodgeball with grp 1. The winner will get to leave SMU earlier by 10 mins, and the loser will have a chance to go through the fast-pass challenge, but only limited to two teams. So we lost, and the game facilitator require us to stay for 10 mins before we can even make our way for the fast-pass. When we wait for about 5 mins or so, we saw other loser teams also walk away, so we heck care and walk also. By the time, there is one grp in front of us, and tt grp is the second grp tt want to go through the fast-pass challenge. We are damn dulan because of wrong information being pass down as that group never wait after the game. Anyway, we din get the challenge, so we continue with our amazing race.
Along the way, we decide to do something funny. An amazing mission during our race. But to protect the innocence, I shall not say what mission we did during the race. Any way, we only go through two checkpoints, one at fort canning, and the other at clarke quay. Actually, the games are nothing compare to the team building games we had in the first day.
When we get back to SMU, it is about 4+. We went for our dinner, which is a buffet and is quite nice, then we went showering. I think we were the last grp to shower. We start walking to the gym for showering at 7.45 pm and suddenly, one instruction come down saying that we need to be at SOA conference hall by 8.00 pm. Haa... as usual we heck care, but end up we brought all our used cloths and showering stuffs to SOA conference hall. By the time we reached, they already started, first thing i saw, Kevin is playing one of the games. It is musical chair, with both guys and girls as partners. The guys will be the outer layer and the girls will be the inner layer. The guys will have to grab the chair, while the girls have to sit on the guy's lap. Kevin manage to win 2 - 3 rounds i think. Everytime when he grab the chair, his leg open damn big, dunnoe for what. Then his grp member, i think should be the most pretty one in his grp sit on his lap. haa... Then, I told wayne, Kevin cannot win, if not more shit will come. Indeed, the two couples that is left haf to do some obscene action. Fortunately, Kevin din win.
Next, after this stage performance, we are told that we can go to SIS Function room 5.1 for some dancing, with free alcohol. So we went back to our "bunk" and discuss whether should we go. We finally decided to go to the function room and take a look. Over there, I saw an environment that is exactly identical to club. Musics, lights, smoke, alcohol. Then first thing I do is to go and find Kevin. Cos I am really wondering is he dancing, or he just relac one corner and drink. To my surprise, he is dancing. Haa.. Still say he dun club..... Anyway, as shown in the photos I have posted, I took a photo of him without his knowledge. After the photo, u can imagine what he scold le... Then we are about to leave to go back to our bunk and haf our own activity, Die Hard 2.1... The three of us, wayne, me and kevin took a photo. I think it is the first time the three of us took a photo. Then Kevin very shun kou and say, ask the reading pple to take one also.
Back to our bunk, our facilitators sort of invite other group pple to come. Group 1, who is in the same room as us, somehow refuse to join us... I wonder why... Wayne overhead a conversation that the guys suggest to go play Warcraft, and offer to teach the girls how to play... I was like what the hell man... End up I think they go play DOTA. So over in our bunk, we start playing the usual ice-breaking game, and this time round we will drink liquor. Anyway, I got to know one new game that is very fun. The asking question game, but i lazy to explain over here.
After all the drinking, we decided to head for supper. I can see that our another facilitator, April, is sort of drunk le. First, she call me out and scold pieces of shit. I was like wat the hell... But I never take it too hard. Then when she went to buy drinks, I offer to carry the drinks for her, at that point of time, she talk a lot of crap to me... I also dunnoe what she is talking, just let her win la.
So that's basically our day 2. For day 3, we woke up late at about 9, then went for the final debrief and watching video, and it marks the end of the camp.
Next up will be the FTB camp, which should be my last orientation camp.... Haizz... Hope it will not be too sucky....
